FAQ

Can I go to more than one performance?
YES! In addition to music and dance workshops on Saturday afternoon, your regular Saltwater ticket will gain you admission to all of the live music performances on Saturday evening, from 7:00 pm to closing.

How can I be sure to get a seat?
Most artists will be performing more than one set so it's quite likely that over the course of the evening you will be able to see everybody you want to see. Keep in mind, however, that we have to honor all venue rules, including legal capacity. If a venue you want to get into is at capacity, there will always be a place for you at another venue. If you really, really have your heart set on seeing a specific artist or group, we would recommend getting to that venue as early as possible.

How far apart are the venues?
According to mapquest.com, it is less than half a mile from One Longfellow Square to Port City Music Hall with Blue and Acoustic Artisans between the two.

When and where will you post the final schedule?
We're still adding performers and venues to Saltwater 2014; the final schedule will be ready by the end of August and posted on our website and our Facebook page.

Do children need a ticket?
Yes. Now that Saltwater is a multiple-venue event with a limited number of tickets for sale, everybody seeking admission to Saltwater must purchase a ticket and children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Are the venues and events kid-friendly?
This is a highly personal question that parents would need to answer for themselves. Some teenagers, for example, will get a lot out of Saltwater while younger children may be bored with it. Admittance to the venues will be permitted to children who have a ticket and, if under 18 years of age, are accompanied by an adult at all times.

How long will each artist perform?
This will vary by artist and venue but, typically, artists will each be performing two sets of just under an hour each at different times during the evening, not back to back.

How big are the venues?
Port City Music Hall holds 580. One Longfellow Square is around 160, Blue will hold about 30 or 40, and Acoustic Artisans around 50. Each venue has been chosen specifically for its appropriateness for the music we will be presenting.

Are the venues handicap accessible?
Acoustic Artisans, a second floor venue, is not handicap accessible.
